This year, the entrance to Interior Design’s 35th annual Hall of Fame gala and Best of Year awards is getting an update. For the first time, the magazine is challenging the creative community to come up with an inlaid design that will be featured in both events’ iconic red carpet.
Entrants are tasked with using Mats Inc.’s Graffiti flooring line, made of polypropylene fibers, to transform the carpet leading into the River Pavilion at the Javits Center in New York City—where both events take place—into a reimagined, oversized puzzle. http://www.aleeshainstitute.com/interior-designing-course.php
The contest winner will be selected by Mats Inc. in collaboration with Interior Design’s editorial team and announced October 29. As an extra incentive, the chosen designer also will score two complimentary tickets to Hall of Fame and Best of Year, which take place December 5 and 6, respectively.
Designers must submit entries here by midnight Friday, October 4, 2019.
